Dr Ryan Seaman
Chiropractor
I grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan Canada, with my parents and two sisters. The area has many similarities to Loxton; mainly family farms of medium size, mixed farming (wheat, barley, canola, peas, lentils, cattle and bison) and similar annual rainfall.
I met my wife, Lynley, when she was on the Agriventure farm exchange program on a nearby farm. The rest is history as they say and I moved to Perth in 2001 and have lived in Australia ever since. I worked my first few years in Australia as a Civil Engineer, then enrolled in Chiropractic at Murdoch University in WA in 2004.
We moved to Loxton in 2010, and have loved living here since. We found the community warm and welcoming. The community immediately invited us to get involved in many organisations and groups.
Lynley and I have 3 young daughters and love an active outdoor lifestyle. I enjoy cycling on a regular basis and have completed several rides in excess of 100 kms. I try to ride 2 times a week and would like to do more if time permitted. I also partake in CrossFit, which is a functional movement exercise program. I have found these sports keep me in shape for the demands of practice. I am a bit of a petrol head as well (no projects on the go at this time ).
Lynley Seaman
Nutritionist
I am Lynley, co-owner of Seaman Chiropractic, a Nutritionist, former research scientist, proud mum of three daughters and wife to Dr Ryan. My interests are many, but I always come back to a love of nature and health, which go hand in hand quite nicely. I grew up in the Victorian Mallee on a wheat and sheep farm, a place I still feel deeply connected to, and wanted to be a Vet when I grew up! Instead, I pursued a career in plant science and spent many years working in herbicide resistance, weed science and conservation. In recent times I gained my master’s in human nutrition which really helped sort fact from fiction when it comes to eating for health. I have a relaxed, very practical focus to nutrition and try to help my clients achieve their goals in a way that is effective, realistic, compassionate and non-restrictive.
Chiropractic is a really important part of my life, which I sought out as a young adult who suffered regular headaches. I have been a regular patient since, and lucky me is now married to a Chiropractor! I feel my best when I am adjusted regularly, am active, eating and sleeping well, and have a good balance between work, family and time for me (just like most people!) I am always up for an adventure or visiting someplace new and I seek out natural wonders.
Hayley Hucks
Before starting with Seaman Chiropractic, I knew I wanted to learn more about natural health and wellbeing but knew little about the science of chiropractic. I had previously owned a travel agency before taking a complete career turn to pharmacy. It was during these four years that I developed a strong interest in health and wellbeing, focussing my time on Sleep Apnoea patients, the benefits of good quality vitamin supplements and the options for weight management.
My husband and I both grew up in Loxton and have now chosen this beautiful town to raise our two children. We all love spending time on the river and dabble in all kinds of sports, from netball, footy, swimming, cricket, running to just recently, Go Karts.
Since joining the team here and receiving regular Chiropractic care, my family and I have experienced a multitude of health benefits which has ignited a passion in me to help more people improve their lives through our clinic. I love being able to witness other people’s Chiropractic success stories and I’m proud to think we played a part in their journey. I look forward to hearing your Chiropractic success story!
Stacey Hardman-Mewburn
I grew up in England between Manchester and Oldham where I performed many roles within the childcare industry in England, assisting children in their early development. I had always wanted to be a nanny and loved helping the children progress in life.
In 2015, I took time out to immigrate to Australia, doing some casual fruit-picking in the Riverland from 2015 to 2017. I chose to settle in Loxton and have made many lovely friends, many who we now consider family.
I’m a very creative person and love to ‘get arty’ and ‘think outside the box’ to catch my and others attention.
My son, Aiden, was born in 2017. We both enjoy visiting the Zoo, Lake Bonney and other natural places and we feel very at home by the water, whether this be the lake, river, or the ocean.
After Aiden’s birth, I settled back into my full-time career path, completing a scholarship in residential aged care. This led to working with the elderly where I began to gain more of an interest in the body and how we can assist it to keep us healthier in our later years.
I found Chiropractic care supported me in fulfilling my caregiving position allowing me to support myself and the people I was caring for. As I had always worked in a developmental field, I felt moving into health and development was the right move for myself and my son. I enjoy maintaining and supporting our health and enjoying listening to your health journeys too.
